How We Secure Your Data

Ok, we know that some people fall asleep when talking about security and data erasure, but it is one of the most important steps when IT equipment is reused or recycled. Let’s keep it short.

We Ensure Security & GDPR Compliance

Remade Secure Process is our process for efficient logistics, secure handling, and safe data deletion that meets the requirements of GDPR (which also applies to personal data on your old computers and mobiles).

We transport your equipment in locked safety cabinets to our facility where every single product is registered, de-identified and erased (harddrives and storage media). You get a wiping GDPR-certificate at serial number level and thus full traceability and above all proof that the information is permanently deleted.

For storage media that cannot be wiped, we offer certified destruction services (shredding/fragmentation). You’ll receive a destruction certificate to confirm that your hard drives and other storage media have been properly disposed of.

Secure Erasure of Information

We ensure that all data on your devices is securely deleted – after our intervention, the information is permanently removed.

GDPR-Compliant

We ensure that all data on your devices is properly erased, preventing any information or personal data from falling into the wrong hands. This way, you comply with the EU’s data protection regulation, GDPR.

NATO Approved

The erasure of hard drives or other storage media in used computers, mobiles, servers, and other products is performed using software from Blancco, which meets the requirements of leading data erasure standards and is approved by organizations like the Swedish Armed Forces and NATO.

ISO-Certified

Remade is ISO 27001 certified, ensuring we maintain the highest standards in information security. Our systematic approach protects sensitive information, minimizes risks, and ensures compliance with both internal and external data security requirements.

    FAQ

To safely dispose of a computer hard drive, it’s crucial to ensure that all data is permanently removed to prevent unauthorized access. First, use data-wiping software to overwrite the entire drive multiple times, making data recovery nearly impossible. After wiping the data, physically destroy the hard drive by shredding, drilling holes through it, or degaussing it to erase the magnetic fields. Finally, ensure the destroyed components are recycled at a certified facility to prevent environmental harm.

To safely destroy a computer, start by wiping all data from the hard drive or other storage devices using software that overwrites the data multiple times. After wiping, remove all storage devices and physically destroy them. Disassemble the computer to separate its components, focusing on destroying any parts that may contain sensitive information, such as CPUs and memory modules. Ensure all parts are properly recycled to meet environmental standards.
